Plants Toxic to Cats

Pet cats enjoy roaming inside and outside the home, which can expose them to potentially dangerous plants. Indoor plants should be kept out of reach of your furry friends. One of the most dangerous family of plants for your cats are lilies so be especially careful if they are inside your home.

1. Lily
Not all plants with "lily" in their name are true lillies (eg. Lily of the Valley). But true lilies such as tiger lilies, daylilies, Easter lilies, red lilies, and Japanese show lilies are all extremely dangerous to cats and even their pollen can cause kidney failure.
2. Azalea & Rhododendron
There are over 1000 species in this family of related species. Even a tiny amount of these plants ingested can be toxic to a cat.
3. Narcissus (including Daffodils)
Daffodils and other plants in the genus Narcissus are poisonous to cats, especially the bulbs.
